Can you repair a denture that was made by a different dental laboratory?
Yes. We repair dentures fabricated by any laboratory. The origin of the denture does not affect our ability to repair it. Bring the denture and all broken pieces to your dentist and ask them to submit it to OmniWorks as a priority repair.
I tried to glue my denture back together at home. Can it still be repaired?
In most cases, yes, but please let your dentist know so they can tell us upfront. Home adhesives can make the repair more difficult because they may need to be carefully removed before we can create a proper bond. In some cases, heavy glue contamination can limit what is achievable. The sooner you bring it in after a break, the better the outcome.
My denture broke, but I am missing a small piece. Can you still repair it?
It depends on the size and location of the missing piece. For most breaks, even with a small missing fragment, a functional repair is achievable. For breaks where a significant piece is missing, particularly a section of the base, we may need to fabricate a small replacement section. Let your dentist know about any missing pieces when they submit the case.
After my denture was repaired, the fit feels slightly different. Is that normal?
Minor differences in fit after a significant repair are possible, especially if the denture was worn for several years before breaking. Gum tissue changes gradually over time, and the repair itself can sometimes reveal fit issues that were already developing. If the fit feels noticeably wrong after your repair, ask your dentist to evaluate whether a reline is needed. This is a simple procedure that re-adapts the denture base to the current shape of your gums.
Can I eat normally while I am waiting for my denture to be repaired?
If the break makes the denture unwearable, you will need to manage for the 2–3 days the repair takes. Soft foods are easiest. If you have an older denture or a temporary that can serve as a backup, use it, even an imperfect backup is better than going without.
