Every complete denture case is articulated, and the occlusion is verified on the articulator before the case goes to processing. We check bilateral balance in centric occlusion and in lateral excursions, posterior tooth position relative to the ridge crest, and the relationship between the occlusal plane and the residual ridge anatomy. An occlusal problem identified on the articulator before processing costs nothing to fix. The same problem identified at the delivery appointment costs your patient another visit and your practice another hour.
Vertical Dimension of Occlusion Set to Your Prescription, Not Approximated
The vertical dimension of occlusion you specify on your prescription is what we fabricate. We do not approximate. If your records indicate a specific VDO measurement, we build it precisely. If we have a question about your VDO specification or your centric relation record, particularly on a full denture case where both arches are being restored, we ask before we proceed. Getting the VDO wrong on a complete denture case produces a result that is difficult and time-consuming to correct after the fact

For patients transitioning from natural dentition, immediate dentures, or long-term prosthetics, the aesthetics of the denture teeth matter. We work from your records: pre-extraction photographs, existing denture or appliance references, and any specific requests your patient made about tooth shape, size, or arrangement. Anterior tooth position, midline alignment, and incisal display at rest position are set to replicate natural dentition appearance where records support it.

If a patient has been without their denture for more than a few days, note this at submission; prolonged disuse can cause tissue changes that affect fit at redelivery, and we factor this into our fabrication adjustments when relevant.
